What is IJMB Program
IJMB means Interim Joint Matriculations Board Examinations. It is a nine(9) months Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria moderated Advanced Level (‘A’ Level) program IJMBE is certified by Nigerian University Commission (NUC). IT is organized to tackle admission difficulties of student as the best option to secure admission into the university and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria. candidate will be able to secure admission into 200 Level through Direct Entry without UTME or JAMB
Approximately 1.5Million candidates write Unified Tertiary AMetrifications Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission Matriculations Board (JAMB) annually. It has been estimated that 67% of those who seat fo the examination fail, and the 33% who pass fail the post UTME conducted by the university. In other to decrease this threat, IJMB and JUPEB were initiated to offer a resolution.
The statistical report published by JAMB annually shows the total number of students who gain admission into the University through the JAMB exam. The report shows how low the number of students able to secure admission into 100 Levels in Nigerian Universities. The competition is too high, subjecting to the limited spaces available for students in these Nigerian institutions. For this reason, DIRECT ENTRY mode is less competitive and set to increase the numbers of student that will be able to secure admission into the University. The DIRECT entry requirements for this system include ‘A’ Level (i.e., IJMBE/JUPEB Result) ND, NCE, HND, and Bachelor Degrees. However, ‘A’ Level offers the best option in terms of durations (which is nine months) and admission (into 200 Level) Hundreds of thousands of students have gone through the programs since inception and had completed their degree programs in their chosen Universities, both home and abroad. IJMB & JUPEB will remain legitimate forever (it has no lapse time), which does not go the same with UTME JAMB that Dues immediately after a specific year. this makes the student who does not gain admission into the tertiary institution re-write JAMB every year
